Andrew Wade Smith and I developed a custom interactive application for Infocus‘ presentation at ISE in Amsterdam this year. The application has four different graphic modules, particles, fluids, kaleidoscopes and media slideshow, which are all responsive or controlled by the viewer through a camera. The app has a system of presets that can automatically blend and fade between all the settings.
My animation “Swamp Gas” was part of the 2 night projection event, “Digital Nature” at the LA County Arboretum. I enjoyed seeing the projections in such a beautiful setting. Thanks to Shirley Watts for putting this together.
I showed my river animations at the Walkup Grocery for the Wetlands Art Tour. Also on exhibit was work by Robert Vicknair, Jimmy Descant, Jillian Gibson, and James Vella.
I had 3 projections during Luna Fete 2015 in New Orleans. Meanders was projection mapped on to a 4 story building on Julia Street. Outside of Arthur Roger Gallery, i projected a new version of Identity Theft, with multiple individual faces that remained fixed to whichever viewer it was randomly assigned to. I also projected Flow, a motion controlled fluid particle simulator.
